Reteocrinus stellaris

Ordovician
Bobcaygeon Formation
Brechin, Ontario, Canada
Another extremely rare crinoid from this formation. To the untrained eye, the most obvious difference between this species and alveolatus is the stem. On stellaris the stem is round and on aveolatus the stem is pentagonal. This rare specimen also has the holdfast.

Size: 3 cm crown
